“What are you lookin’ at?”

No, I’m not talking about a comic book form of this battle. I’m talking about a movie version. If you think about it, we’re closer to seeing a film version of this earth shattering battle than we are in the very medium they were created in.
With the success of the recent marvel and DC superhero films, we could be really close to seeing this happen in the next decade or so. If the upcoming Superman movie is a success, it could join the popularity of the Batman movies and DC Comics could finally be on the way to join marvel Comics with screen time success.
Avengers vs. Justice league by Marc Bourcier
I believe with Superman doing well it would spark Hollywood into making a Justice league Of America film that would work to springboard other DC characters into the limelight. It could even be enough to finally make wonder woman work.
You and I both know that there is no way Hollywood could resist trying to make an Avengers vs. JLA movie if there was huge money to be made from it. once again, the movies could show the publishing end how to do it right. I’ve said it before, the film versions of the superheroes are much more enjoyable and likeable than the printed versions. This could be the break that Hawkman, Aquaman, and wonder woman have been waiting for. who knows, maybe we could even see the return of Snapper Carr and Rick Jones.
I would love to see this happen in my lifetime. think what a massive success this could be and we’re not even talking about what villains would be used. Be still my four-color heart.
Casting would be any comic book reader’s version of fantasy Football. It makes my head hurt right now thinking about who I would want to see playing what role. I know that all of you out there have some great suggestions. (And yes, we would love for you to post them up there.)
Speaking for myself, I have been daydreaming like a 12 year old over such a thing happening. I’m not afraid to admit it, I’ve still got THAT much die-hard, mainstream comic book reader left in my body and mind for some serious brain time wasting. Come, join me!
Wouldn’t you get a kick out of seeing Sylvester Stallone playing Wildcat? (Yeah, I know Wildcat’s in the JSA, but there’s room in my fantasy world for a little cheating.)
Unleash the hounds, the Kraken, and whatever needs to be released. dream with me and think about this happening. let yourself have fun for a few moments and dream. Don’t spend all your time and words explaining why this won’t happen, be immature with me and think it could really happen.
